International yacht racing tends to be dominated by male crews, and this is even more the case in highly competitive classes. Despite the occasional woman on some teams, women remain somewhat of a rarity in the highly competitive racing scenes ... this is about to change!

We are happy to announce to you that Nigel King has joined the Women Only Sailing team as Project Consultant. His role during the start up phase is to give us support in recruitment, training and material questions.

Nigel has 25 years experience as a professional sailor, coach and project manager and his campaigns include 2 Volvo Ocean Races, the Olympic Soling class, a Jules Verne record attempt, the Extreme 40 circuit and more recently Beneteau Figaro II solo offshore circuit in France. Nigel has also spent 3 years as RC44 Team Aqua boat captain / sailor and coach, plus a year supporting team Ceeref as coach. 
All this experience means that Nigel has a wealth of campaign knowledge and his specific RC44 experience will be invaluable to the team.
